How to enable public key authentication between OpenSSH’s SFTP/SCP command line client and JSCAPE MFT Server?
Posted by Daniel Demecillo II on 08 November 2011 02:07 PM

First make sure you have configured the SFTP service with public key authentication. Click here for instructions on how to do this.

Then you would need to import the user’s OpenSSH public key into JSCAPE MFT Server. On *nix based systems, the public key file is ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub (or ~/.ssh/id_dsa.pub). The ~ denotes the user’s home directory on the *nix based system. For instructions on importing a public key into JSCAPE MFT Server click here.

The last part would be binding the just imported key to the user’s corresponding JSCAPE MFT Server account. Follow step #4 detailed here.

Public key authentication will then be used when the following command is issued by the user:

sftp jscapeuser@jscapehost
