How can I use curl to download/upload files from/to JSCAPE MFT Server?
Posted by Daniel Demecillo II on 23 December 2011 04:10 PM

Attached is a runnable shell script showing how curl can be use to download and upload files from/to a JSCAPE MFT Server using HTTP protocol.

A download can be initiated from curl using either one of following ways.

1) Using a single curl command to do both login and download. This is done by providing, along with domain info and user credentials, the file's download URL via the "continue" parameter.

2) Using a separate curl login and curl download command. The two separate calls will be treated by the JSCAPE MFT Server as part of a single session. This is accomplished by saving the session cookie returned by the server during login and then sending it back to the server during download.

An upload can only be done using a separate curl login and curl upload command. The process is very much the same as the separate login and download command described above.
