How to use the GetUserInfo function
Posted by John Villanueva on 22 March 2016 04:02 PM

The GetUserInfo function returns the user property specified in the second argument of the function. The first argument can either be the %Username% variable or an actual username. For example:

  • %GetUserInfo(%Username%,"Phone")% will return the phone number corresponding to the username currently held by the %Username% variable.
  • %GetUserInfo(%Username%,"Company")% will return the company corresponding to the username currently held by the %Username% variable.
  • %GetUserInfo(%Username%,"EmailAddress")% will return the email address corresponding to the username currently held by the %Username% variable.
  • %GetUserInfo("johndoe","EmailAddress")% will return the email address corresponding to the user whose username is "johndoe"
  • %GetUserInfo(johndoe,EmailAddress)% will return the email address corresponding to the user whose username is "johndoe". Notice that, except for variables (which need to be enclosed with %), arguments without quotation marks are also accepted.
