How to use global variables
Posted by John Villanueva on 20 October 2016 02:55 AM

Global event variables are variables that can be used by all of your triggers.

To create a new global variable, just go to Triggers > Settings > Add. Give the variable a Name. For example, "globvar" (without the quotes). Give the variable a value. For example, "globvarvalue" (again, without the quotes).

To use that variable, just call the GetGlobalVariable function, like so:

%GetGlobalVariable(globvar)%

Functions are available in the trigger conditions module and the trigger action parameters module. You can display a list of functions by clicking the Functions button.

To set that variable to a new value, use the Set Global Variable trigger action. When you specify the trigger action parameters, enter "globvar" (without the quotes) into the Variable Name field and the new value, e.g. "newvalue" (without the quotes) into the Variable Value field.
