Authentication error when sending an AS2 message

If you attempt to send an AS2 message and you get a "failed" status even if the Trading Partner test succeeds ("test passed"), try viewing the message details by selecting it and then clicking the View button. 

Scroll down to the bottom until you reach the Error description. If it says "Authentication error" (see screenshot below), it's possible that the recipient has not identified your server as a known and trusted connection.

 

 

If the recipient is also running JSCAPE MFT Server, it should have created a trading partner with a "To ID" value that is equal to the incoming AS2From header for the incoming AS2 message.

So, for example, if the trading partner object in your MFT Server has the following values:

From ID: as2a

To ID: as2b

then the trading partner object (representing your AS2 service) in your recipient's MFT Server should have the following values:

From ID: as2b

To ID: as2a
