Trigger using directory monitor with recursive setting enabled also acts on directories
Posted by John Villanueva on 07 June 2018 06:28 PM

When you use a directory monitor to monitor file additions, file changes, file deletions, and file ages (i.e. using 'Monitor file add', 'Monitor file change', 'Monitor file delete', and 'File exceeds age of' settings respectively), with the 'Monitor recursively' setting enabled, the directory monitor will monitor both files and directories.

Hence, if you use that directory monitor in a trigger (say for example, to delete or move old files and other similar use cases), the trigger will act on both files and directories. If you don't want to include directories, you need to indicate that in your trigger condition by adding the expression:

IsDirectory = false
