CLI commands to create tables on an external RDBMS for server configuration data of a freshly installed MFT Server instance
Posted by John Villanueva on 23 October 2018 06:22 AM

If you want to copy existing server configuration data of an MFT Server instance from the embedded H2 database to an external relational database management system (RDBMS) like Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server, you can simply follow either of the two instructions found here:

http://files.jscape.com/secureftpserver/docs/migrating_to_centralized_global_datastore.htm

However, if you want to create the necessary tables (and populate with the default server configuration data) during the installation process, you can simply run these commands:

Note: It is assumed that you already have an empty database on your RDBMS ready to be populated by the tables and data that will be generated by the commands below.

./js-database-configuration -configure -url <RDBMS jdbc url> -user <RDBMS user> -password <RDBMS user password>
./js-database-configuration -init
