About files in [mft server installdir]/domains/searching/accounts directory
Posted by John Villanueva on 22 May 2020 10:12 PM

When a JSCAPE MFT Server administrator creates a new user account, the system will automatically create a folder with the same name as that account's username inside the folder /domains/searching/accounts/. So, for example, if the new account's username is jsmith, then a folder named/domains/searching/accounts/jsmith will be created.

JSCAPE MFT Server will do this for each new user. The main purpose of these folders is to hold the indexes of these accounts' files.

Sometimes, the total storage space consumed by these files can be substantial (GBs). While you may delete these files if you run out of disk space, note that search will not work for those user accounts whose files were deleted.
